Wali wa Nazi (Rice in Coconut Milk)

What You Will Need:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 can coconut milk plus water to make 4 cups of liquid
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to make it:

  1. Follow these steps under adult supervision
  2. Measure 4 cups of liquid (coconut milk and water) into a saucepan.
  3. Add 1 tespon salt. Heat the liquid until it boils.
  4. Stir in 2 cups rice. Lower heat, cover, and simmer until all the liquid is absorbed (about 25 minutes.)
  5. Serve hot alone or to accompany a main dish.
